It depends on the size of the area, the condition of the surfaces and how much prep is needed. We give free, written estimates so you know the price before any work begins.

Yes. Our painting comes with a 3-year written workmanship warranty. You get the warranty terms in writing with your quote.

Do you do both interior and exterior painting?
Yes, along with cabinet painting, popcorn ceiling removal, drywall repair, wallpaper removal, deck and fence staining, and commercial painting.
What paint do you use?
We recommend premium lines suited to each surface and list the exact product in your quote. If you have a preferred brand or colour, we are happy to use it.

House Painting for Every Hamilton Home

Hamilton Homes Need Different Prep

The City of Hamilton takes in the lower city and the Mountain along with Stoney Creek, Ancaster, Dundas, Flamborough and Glanbrook. That means Victorian and Edwardian homes in Durand and Kirkendall, 1920s houses in Westdale, wartime and post-war homes in the east end and across the Mountain, heritage village cores in Dundas, Ancaster and Waterdown, and large newer subdivisions in Upper Stoney Creek, Binbrook and Waterdown.

The escarpment, lake-effect weather and freeze-thaw winters are hard on exterior paint, and the older housing stock means plenty of plaster repair and lead-safe prep on old trim and siding.

A Victorian in Durand, a century brick semi in Kirkendall, a post-war bungalow on the Mountain and a new build in Binbrook all need different preparation and products. Older homes often have plaster walls, oil-based trim and layers of old paint; newer homes usually have builder-grade paint that scuffs easily. We plan each job around the house in front of us.

Interior Painting, Cabinets and Ceilings

Inside, our interior painting covers walls, ceilings, trim and doors, with drywall repair, wallpaper removal and popcorn ceiling removal handled before the first coat. Kitchen cabinet painting gives a dated kitchen a new look without the cost of new cabinetry.

Exterior Painting, Staining and Masonry

Outside, lake humidity, hot summers and freeze-thaw winters are hard on paint. Our exterior house painting starts with washing, scraping, caulking and priming, and we also paint aluminum and vinyl siding, brick and stucco, and stain decks and fences.

Painters in Lower Hamilton

Hamilton's lower city has some of the best-preserved Victorian and Edwardian housing in Ontario, especially in Durand, Kirkendall, Corktown and Strathcona, while Westdale was laid out in the 1920s around what is now McMaster University. Further east, Beasley and Crown Point are full of early twentieth-century and wartime homes, and the streets around McMaster have a large share of student rentals.

Painters in Hamilton Mountain

The Mountain is Hamilton's largest residential area. Neighbourhoods near the brow were built up after the Second World War with bungalows, storey-and-a-halfs and back-splits, while areas further south and east filled in through the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s with two-storey family homes and townhouses.

Painters in Stoney Creek

Stoney Creek has an older core around King Street and the battlefield site, post-war neighbourhoods below the escarpment, and large newer subdivisions on the Mountain in Upper Stoney Creek and to the east toward Fruitland and Winona.

Painters in Ancaster

Ancaster combines a historic village core with some of the oldest buildings in the area, wooded estate lots on the escarpment, and newer subdivisions around the Meadowlands and south toward the Hamilton airport.

Painters in Dundas

Dundas sits in a valley ringed by the escarpment, with a well-kept historic downtown on King Street, nineteenth-century homes on the surrounding streets, and post-war and newer neighbourhoods toward McMaster and up the valley sides.

Painters in Waterdown

Waterdown has grown from a small village into one of Hamilton's busiest suburbs. Its historic core on Dundas Street is surrounded by newer subdivisions, while the rest of Flamborough includes rural hamlets like Carlisle, Greensville and Millgrove with country homes on large lots.

Painters in Binbrook

Binbrook has grown quickly from a rural village into a large community of newer subdivisions, while the rest of Glanbrook, including Mount Hope near the airport, remains largely rural with farm properties and country homes.
